Bridgen Holdings Limited and Subsidiary Companies (hereinafter Bridgen Holdings) maintain a Safety Management System aligned to the principles of

HS (g) 65 – ‘Successful Health and Safety Management’.

 

Creating a positive safety culture that contributes to preventing and reducing accidents starts at the top, and Bridgen Holdings has implemented Policies endorsed by the Managing Director to clearly demonstrate Company intentions, and our approach to realising these intentions.  This statement of intent will clearly indicate the overall vision of the Company.

 

As a Company we develop and implement Procedures to support the Policies which provide a platform for effective control of our everyday work activities.   Clear communications both internally and externally encourages cooperation between our internal and external Customers.

 

To ensure our Company is capable of delivering a professional service to our Customers, we have a stringent Training and Development programme to provide our staff with the competencies required to deliver the requirements of the Contract.

 

Planning and implementation starts with the setting of Safety, Quality and Environmental objectives, which is used to prioritise health and safety activities.  Procedures for hazard identification and risk assessment, allows us to manage risks using a hierarchy of control measures.  Performance standards are set against current legislation and standards, which are stringently measured and monitored.

 

We measure performance using active and reactive monitoring, the former being Safety Inspections, Tours and Surveys.  Reactively we investigate all accidents and incidents to ensure we identify root and underlying causes, and agree recommendations for improvement.  The lessons we learn from our investigations are clearly communicated throughout the Company.

 

Audit and review of our management systems is carried out in compliance with our Company audit programme internally and, we are audited externally by Clients.

 

Our Quality Management System registered to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Standard, and as such continually meets the high standard demanded by the Company and Customers.  We focus stringently on Customer focus with a ‘best in class’ ethos, and continue to excel in the provision of services to Customers.  Our Quality management system is audited on a six monthly basis which ensures that we continually maintain and improve our system.

 

With an Environmental Management System registered to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Standard, we continually strive to prevent and reduce any impact on the environment as a result of our activities.  We place a high priority on the prevention of pollution, which is clearly written into our Safety, Quality and Environment Policy.  Our Environmental Management System is audited on a six monthly basis which ensures that we continually maintain and improve our system.
